Human Resources (HR) Graduate Programme
Location: China (Shanghai)

Our Human Resources(HR) Graduate Programme is designed to identify individuals with the potentialto develop the skills and experience our next generation of HR leaders need tosucceed. We are looking for future leaders who are:
·        Keen to develop an understanding of how businessoperates, and how HR contributes to its success through the development ofindividual talent and organisation-wide people strategies
Excited byopportunities to analyze and interpret data to generate insights and actionsthat address business challenges and improve organisational performance
Motivated toexplore advances in new and emerging technology, and identify the opportunitiestechnology offers to advance HR’s impact on the business
Believe thatactions, behaviours, values and ideas can influence others and help promote apositive, inclusive culture
How Does The ProgrammeWork?
The programme willhelp you identify and build on your natural strengths, skills and passions, andsupport your development as an HR professional.
A key element ofthis three-year programme is leadership development. The first two yearsof the programme will include three individual, eight-month placements, each ofwhich will provide invaluable experience and insight into how HR influences decisions,helps set strategy, and makes an impact across AstraZeneca.
You will join theprogramme in AstraZeneca’s Shanghai headquarters and R&D Centre, which is avibrant, modern and exciting international workplace. AstraZeneca has had apresence in China since 1993 and China is a driver of growth in our emergingmarkets.
The programme isdesigned to help build your professional HR skills, understanding of differentcultures, develop a global mindset, and broaden your experience of ourbusiness. Although you’llbegin the programme in Shanghai, the programme includes an opportunity to liveand work abroad, and to gain experience enabling you to understand thechallenges and impact of an HRBP within a business unit.

Throughout theprogramme your manager will work with you to review your progress towardsachieving your placement objectives and personal development goals. You willwork together to create the right opportunities to deliver the training,challenges, and development opportunities you need to succeed.
On successfulcompletion of your placements you’ll progress into a consolidation role foryour third year.
Essential Requirements
The HR GraduateProgramme is open to graduates in any discipline who have completed theirbachelor’s degree with a minimum of a 2:1 (or equivalent), or master’s degree in 2020, orare due to graduate by September 2021.
You should also be:
Passionate aboutworking in HR and the pharmaceutical industry, with a real ambition to make a differenceto patients and our business
Curious and open tonew experiences, with the flexibility to work anywhere within HR
Driven to takepersonal responsibility for your own development
Open to feedbackand eager to develop
Confidentchallenging existing ways of working
Proactive and keento apply digital solutions to business challenges
Fluent in English(written & spoken)
Due to theinternational nature of this programme you must have a valid passport and begeographically mobile and willing to spend time living and working overseas.
